You forgot VR!! ;D
Do you guys think this band would've been bigger if Izzy was in the band instead of Dave?
Oh funny story.. when I saw VR live in concert in July, my friend happened to point out that no one was wearing a VR shirt. People were wearing Gn'R shirts, Slashs Snakepit shirts and even Wasted Youth tshirts.. but we couldn't find anyone with a VR shirt on. I thought that was funny ;D

Nah, if Izzy was in the band they'd have sounded too much like GN'R. That's fine and everything, but that'd hardly make them bigger. Besides, Dave seems to have a lot more energy up onstage.
There were at least two people in VR shirts at Donington this year at the front during GN'Rs set... Katy being one of them. I thought she was going to get Axl angry. lol

There were at least 6 people in VR shits, because I saw one other person there and I counted 4 others on a bootleg of the show. And he didn't get angry...not about that anyway.
But back to VR I really don't know. Izzy is fantastic, and he's a brilliant song writer but Dave's awesome as well. He's like a ball of energy on stage, and I think he definately contributed a lot to the bands sound.
With Izzy I think it would have been great still, but very diffrent. Hard to say if they'd have done better or worse popularity-wise.

Maybe Dave was ill the day I saw him perform live in July. He wasn't moving on stage. He did one move when he stood next to Matt but that was it. Otherwise he really just stayed in one place and moved his head back and forth a little bit. Duff moved around a lot, Slash moved around a little, Scott was all over the place. Even Matt moved around more than Dave and Matt was sitting during the entire show :c)
Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy with Dave, I think he's done great. I just wonder how VR would be if Izzy had taken the offer

Wow, Dave really must have been sick. Both times I've seen him he's been all over the place.
Download was the best. Halfway through the first song (Sucker Train Blues) I saw Matt look around the stage, suddenly realising he was alone. The rest of the band had all gone off to the random extra bits of stage they'd tacked on the sides...and the bits beyond there that were supposed to be just for crew. lol
There was one point Slash actually climbed under one of the cameras and stood on the platform intended for the camera man right at the edge of the stage. The camera guy just gave him this look like 'well how the fuck am I supposed to film you now?'
What made it stand out even more was that they were the only band on the main stage that day to leave the central section at all.

I kinda wish they'd have gone with another singer. I like VR, but i'm not a huge fan of Scott's voice. They're rumored to have considered Ian Astbury from the Cult and Josh Todd of Buckcherry. Either one of those guys would've been great.

They were working with the Buckcherry guys for the original Randy Castillo benefit that got them together but apparently things didn't work out in the long run. I've heard 5 diffrent versions of why it didn't work out, including 'too many egos in one room' but I have no idea what really happened.
But personally I like Scotts voice. I actually ended up getting all Stone Temple Pilots albums after I saw some of their videos on a thing MTV2 did about VR. (Well, not immidiately, I bought one album after that, liked it so I bought another one and it went on like that.)
